Victorinox Swiss Army Fibrox 10" Serrated Slicer - 40640

The Victorinox Swiss Army 10" Serrated Slicer features the popular non-slip industrial-strength Fibrox handle. This razor sharp all-purpose serrated slicer is a favourite with pastry chefs and bakers, with a rounded tip and thin blade. I used a version of this knife all through pastry/baking culinary school for all sorts of purposes, including slicing cakes into horizontal layers with precision and minimal crumbs. Also great for slicing softer breads and pastries. For very crusty breads or other heavy-duty slicing jobs you might prefer one of the models with a deeper and thicker blade such as the model 40547, though this one is definitely better for splitting cakes for example as the blade is thinner. Hand-washing recommended.
