Wusthof Gourmet Cook's Knife, 9-inch (23 cm) - 4562-23

A great all-around kitchen knife for home or professional use. This shape is the most essential of all knives used in the kitchen. 9-inch length is ideal for use a primary kitchen knife if you feel you want something between a standard 8" knife and a somewhat too large (at least for most home use) 10".

Most any kitchen cutting, slicing and chopping is easily accomplished with this well-balanced tool featuring a comfortable and nearly indestructible grip and razor-sharp hardened stainless steel edge. This Wusthof Gourmet model is nearly identical in terms of the blade and handle (it has a similar full-tang, triple-riveted handle) to the best-selling 4582 Classic model, except it's not a forged blade, so it's not as expensive and it's lighter. But it's still the same metal, and still extremely sharp and strong. Again, a high quality very sharp knife! Ideal for culinary school students or as a graduation or other such gift.
